Last month, we had to cancel our Momat4ty Moms Round Table, but I’m incredibly excited that we’re bringing the same powerful topic back this Saturday: Formation. In Nigeria, we use this term to describe our group of friends or our network—the people who have our back. In this case, we’re talking about the incredible power of women-led groups in our country, Nigeria.
I know firsthand how transformative having a strong “formation” can be. A few years ago, I was on a journey of self-discovery, searching for a place where I felt seen and supported. I found it in groups of women who understood my struggles and celebrated my victories. These women became my pillars, helping me navigate life’s challenges, big and small. They’ve been there to offer a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and practical advice on everything from career goals, spirituality, to parenting.
Joining a women’s group helped me evolve into a better version of myself. The shared experiences and collective wisdom accelerated my personal growth in ways I never imagined. It taught me the importance of vulnerability and the strength in asking for help. It was in these circles that I truly learned what it means to be part of a community.

Unfortunately, many African women are trying to do it all on their own. We’re taught to be strong and independent, but we often forget that true strength comes from being supported by a community. A “formation” provides a safe space where you can share your fears, celebrate your wins, and get the resources you need to achieve your goals, whether they are financial, emotional, or professional. It’s a place where you can be both a mentor and a mentee, where you can lift and be lifted.

This Saturday, I’m thrilled to be joined by five phenomenal women who have dedicated their lives to building these very formations for other women. They will share their stories, insights, and lessons learned about building communities that empower, uplift, and transform lives. They’ll show you how to find your tribe and, if you’re feeling ambitious, how to start one of your own.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to build or join your “formation.” Join us this Saturday at 7 PM WAT on TikTok @sush for the Moms Round Table. Let’s invest in our networks, because when women support women, incredible things happen.
